Tempest Online — Privacy Policy

What we collect

To provide the game, we store:

Account data: the username, email address and password you choose at signup. Passwords are hashed with Argon2 — we cannot read them. If you sign in with Google, we store a stable Google account identifier to link that login to your account (not your Google password).
Character data: name, level, position, inventory, stats, equipment and other progress needed to save your game.

Your IP address is used only in memory, briefly, to rate-limit abusive login attempts — it is never written to our database.

We do not collect: your real name, location, device contacts, photos, microphone/camera access, or advertising identifiers. The game uses no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

How we use it

The data is used only to run the game: authenticate your login, persist your character between sessions, and detect cheating/abuse. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. If you use Google Sign-In, that interaction is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Security

All traffic between the game and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS). Passwords are stored as Argon2 hashes, never in plain text.

Where it's stored

All data is stored on our own server (PostgreSQL database), operated by us.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all related data at any time by emailing bruno.reis@niertech.com.br with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and your username. We process deletion requests within 30 days, removing the account and its associated data (not just disabling access).

Children

Tempest Online is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under that age beyond what's required to operate an account (username, email, and character data). If we learn we have done so without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that data.
